In growing momentum as drug addiction affects parishioners, another local church turned to The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab in Georgia for help.

A local church in Marietta, Georgia, hearing of the successful training delivered to other churches in the area, contacted The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab in GA for training on substance abuse and drug rehabilitation. A seminar was delivered by two The Atlanta Recovery Center staff to church goers who had an addiction problem and wanted to learn about new approaches. The seminar was very well received.

“We have had very positive response from churches in the area,” stated Ms. Mary Rieser, Executive Director of The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab in Georgia. “We have delivered seminars to members of Baptist Churches, Catholic Churches and Methodist Churches, and they are very enthusiastic about being able to help their parishioners.”

One Catholic priest commented, “We have a growing problem with drug and alcohol addiction in our parish. Unfortunately I can fill them with the Holy Spirit, but if the vessel is broken, the Holy Spirit empties out. With the tools provided by The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab, I can help fix the vessel so that the Holy Spirit can fill them and keep them filled.”

Two ministers from local churches are taking the spiritual – as well as the physical well-being of their parishioners seriously. They are training to be drug addiction specialists at The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab in GA.

The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab in GA offers free drug education seminars to church groups, children’s groups, and community centers.

Ms. Rieser states: “We believe that recovery and drug prevention starts in the home, church and community. We encourage anyone interested in helping their neighbors, friends or family to contact us.”

Any church group interested in receiving free drug education lectures is welcome to call The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab in GA for free training.

Drug abuse devastates individuals, families, and communities. It is estimated that crime rates soar because of drug addiction, and while drug addicts are destroying themselves, they are also destroying those around them, local businesses, schools, and neighborhoods.

Drug addiction costs the economy billions of dollars In lost productivity, theft, health-care costs as well as legal costs.

Efforts from the police and concerned citizens try to contain the devastation from drug abuse. Where The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab is involved, there can be total success in cleaning up a community and in fact, it is happening.

The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab GA staff have seen first-hand that once an drug addict is clean, has faced their situation, and taken responsibility for self, family, and surroundings, an area around them that was once drug-infested and crime ridden can be cleaned up and people can be happy and prosperous.

Take the case of a small town in North Carolina. Drug abuse was high with a great percentage of the workforce using drugs. Crime was up as the drug addicts did anything and everything to feed their drug addiction. Two years ago, one family sent their son to The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab so that he could get clean.

When he returned, his uncle, Jason, who had been trying to quit drugs for 18 years, saw him, and was convinced to come to The Atlanta Recovery Center Rehab GA. He in turn told a friend, DJ, who in turn told another, Brent. They all did The Atlanta Recovery Center program, returned to their town, and realized that part of maintaining their sobriety was taking responsibility for their town. Returning with friends they had made in the program, Dustin and Drew, they created a community where drug abuse is not promoted, tolerated, or condoned.

Jason stated the factory he worked in before he entered drug rehab was a den of drug abuse. Working with his fellow employees, he has helped to establish a factory that is drug free. His experience in the “bad old days” alerts him to any sign of drug abuse and it is quick to be addressed. “I never thought life could be so good without drugs,” he stated.

Another young graduate, Dustin, works at a BMW factory. “My life has turned into a fairy tale,” he states. “I was 19, young, and deep into doing drugs with my friends. Now I have responsibilities and a good future. This would not have been possible without The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab. My parents sleep at night now knowing I am doing well.”

These graduates have made a huge impact in their community. Once the target of police scrutiny and suspicion, (small towns know what everyone is doing), they now honorary members of the Drug Task Force and give lectures to local schools. “I don’t condemn the kids, I just give them the facts,” states DJ. “I tell them what my life was like and what it is now. They appreciate the honesty and see me as a good example, a role model they need to stay away from drugs.”

Whole communities, once destined to becoming crime ridden drug dens, are now happy and thriving, thanks to The Atlanta Recovery Center Drug Rehab GA graduates and the work they do.

What about your community? We can help you clean it up. It starts with you and your friends and a sea of calm and happiness can extend from there.

Narconon Drug Rehab Georgia has taken drug education to a new level – to the local county fair.

While most adult attendees of the fair were interested in the arts and crafts, winning a prize at the concession stands, or seeing who won the 4-H events, they wanted to know what was in the Narconon Georgia Drug Education Booth.

Visitors were not disappointed in the colorful display. Children signed a pledge promising to remain drug-free and study hard in school, while adults learned about the signs of drug abuse and how to talk to their kids about drugs. After signing the drug-free pledge the kids for a free toy and parents left armed with literature.

“Many of the adults who stop by are grateful to learn about prescription drug abuse and how easy it is for children to become addicted to medicine found in the family medicine cabinet,” commented Gordy Weinand, spokesperson for Narconon Drug Rehab Georgia. “The kids learn a lot about the dangers of drug abuse, sign our drug-free pledge, and get a prize. We have a lot of fun, while teaching a serious topic at the same time.”

As studies show, drug abuse of hard street drugs is on the decline while prescription drug abuse is a growing problem that if not halted will be at epidemic proportions.

“It seems that more and more news stories are about a celebrity dying of prescription drug addiction or being treated for it,” comments Mr. Weinand. “Michael Jackson, Heath Ledger, Burt Reynolds, people you would never imagine having a problem with prescription drugs are finding themselves in trouble because they didn’t know any better. We aim to change that.”

This is the second year that Narconon Georgia has participated in the county fair, and thousands have stopped by the drug education booth and expressed their support and approval.

“We personally talked to so many people during the week of the fair we literally couldn’t keep count. People kept asking for materials. We gave so many out that we ran low and had to quickly order more from the printer., Everyone wanted information about drugs” one volunteer stated. “ Narconon really is spreading the word about addiction and recovery through its many educational programs. It was great to see our graduates out in the public eye and not ashamed to say ‘Hey! I am a Narconon graduate, let me help you!’”

The county fair has served as a perfect venue for drug education as in a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere a very serious subject can be addressed in a positive way. The kids and family learned something valuable without feeling they were being lectured to.
