<description>My name is Michele Trevor and I am actually to write to ask you about possibly interning with your organization? I am currently in Intensive Outpatient Treatment in Atlanta but have been battling addiction for many years. I first went into treatment in 2007 and was in denial about my addiction to alcohol until last summer when I had a major relapse and went into intensive outpatient in Augusta. I returned home to Atlanta in the fall but did not follow my recommended treatment plan of going to AA every day and getting a sponsor and relapsed again at the end of the year. I finally hit my bottom early this year and have been in treatment ever since. I am doing very well in treatment and have finally accepted my disease and I am ready to live a healthy fulfilling life in recovery. I go to AA every day and am about to designate a home group and find a sponsor to begin working my program. I also would like to intern with a recovery center as I am thinking about going into this field. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology from James Madison University and would really love to apply this knowledge as well as all I have learned in my treatment facilities to others who are going through what I have gone through these past few years. I would welcome any advice you could give me as to getting into the field of interventions or if you would possibly like to hire an intern, I would be very excited to speak with your organization further regarding my background. Thank you so much for you time and consideration in reading my story and I hope to hear back from you in the near future.

Best Regards,
